Customs when travelling by car, train or bus

If you travel into Denmark from a country outside the EU by car, train, bus or any means of transport other than air and sea, the limit for ordinary purchases is DKK 2,250.

The value limit applies to goods in your personal luggage. It does not apply to postal parcels, which follow the rules for online shopping.

Travelling within the EU?

Goods bought in an EU country for personal use can normally be brought in without customs duty and VAT. See e.g. beer from Germany.
